Mohd Adiazizi Does Maktab Sains Proud

Bandar Seri Begawan - Mohd Adiazizi bin Hj Mohd Mahdi has done his, college, Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan, proud after emerging as the top student of the 2006 National Mathematics Olympic (NMO).

"I didn't expect to get the highest score and the gold medal at the competition," the Lower Secondary Six student told the Bulletin yesterday. He said that he found the. questions difficult and that he did not manage to answer all the questions in one of the papers.

It was the first time that Mohd Adiazizi had taken part in the competition. Previously, he received a distinction in the Australia Mathematic competition.

Besides Mohd Adiazizi, Maktab Sains was represented by four other students namely Muhd Khairul Kamilin Hj Hamdan, Abdul Wafi bin Hj Lamit, Chan Yee Peng and Pong Pui Xuan.

Organised by Science, Technology and Environment Partnership (STEP) Centre with cooperation with Brunei Shell Company Sdn Bhd, the National Mathematic Olympiad was to promote the interest of students towards the field of science, technology and mathematics. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
