Ministry Of Religious Affairs Holds 'Tahlil' Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Religious Affairs and departments under it held a `Tahlil' ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Hj OmarAli Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pg Anak Damit binti Al Marhum Pg Bendahara Pg Anak Abdul Rahman at the Mal-am Kubah Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Among those who attended the ceremony were Acting Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Dato Ustaz Awang Hj Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Othman and Dato Paduka Awang Hj Abdul Rahman bin Hj Mohiddin, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Some 200 people attended the ceremony including directors, acting directors and officers from various government agencies.

The 'Tahlil' ceremony, which included readings of "Doa Arwah", was led by Awang Hj Jufri bin Hj Hidup, a mosque affairs officer from Masj id Skim Tanah Kurnia Rakyat Jati Lambak Kiri, Mosque Affairs Department. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
