Expo, competition showcase skills of Temburong women

An array of interestingly shaped handicraft items were recently put on display during the Women's Creativity Competition and Exhibition held at Balai Raya Orang Kaya Sura Haji Tuba in Kg Senukoh, Temburong.

Organised by the Kg Senukoh Consultative Council's Women Section, the event aimed at showcasing the creative works of women in Temburong District.

The expo also aimed to allow participants the chance to market their handmade goods, while simultaneously encouraging them to continue their efforts in creating such handicrafts.

The event also allowed for the fostering of closer relations among members of the women's committee and residents of the district.

The competition was split into nine categories, one of which was weaving items using either traditional or modern methods.

According to the organisers, the competition and exhibition were well received.
