JKR Personnel On Better Footing

Begawan - A two-day seminar on project design, analysis and
documentation came to a close yesterday at the JKR Training Centre.
Facilitated by Dr Razali binAdul
Hamid ofAnnajah Sdn Bhd, the seminar aimed at familiarising personnel
with the overall framework as a first step in helping participants use
techniques that define projects in a manner that is logically
consistent with an organisation's vision.
After describing logically consistent
projects, the course focuses as a second step - on developing the
numerical techniques that will enable participants to accept or
discard and then rank their projects.
The participants of the training
seminar were made up of civil engineers, construction auditors,
quantity surveyors and architects. The objective of the course was to
train government staff on how to handle situations in their respective
fields.
"The participants were very
responsive and attentive, making them fully aware of the ongoing
project designs, analysis and documentation," said University
Technology Malaysia Quantity Surveying Associate Professor and Head of
Department Dr Razali.
The training offered at the seminar
included project design and project franiework; project stakeholders;
how to plan projects; project costing; project cost planning;
formulating the project benefits; project ranking risk; as well as
uncertainty analysis and sensitivity.
Annajah
Sdn Bhd, a local management training and consultancy company headed by
Hj Fikri Hj Long, was established some seven years ago. The programme
closed yesterday with the presentation of certificates of
