Mukim Kilanas To Get Community
Hall Of Its Own

Begawan - Mukim Kilanas will soon have a community hall to call
its own with construction works currently in place on the B$1,693,311
project in Bengkurong.
In light of this, a foundation laying
ceremony was held at the construction site yesterday, during which
Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri
SetiaAwg Hj Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Awg
Hj Mohd Yusof was present as guest of honour.
Also present at the ceremony were
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Dato Paduka Awg Hj
Idris Bin Hj Belaman, senior officers and other invited guests.
The construction of the community
hall is to cater to the growing needs of residents of Mukim Kilanas,
which covers Madewa, Bunut Perpindahan, Tasek Meradun and Bengkurong.
When completed, the main building
will boast a multipurpose hall, offices for penghulus and ketua
kampungs, changing rooms, a lounge and toilets for physically
challenged individuals.
Meanwhile, the surrounding building
will feature an office for the penghulu, activity rooms and toilets.
The project - undertaken by LCY
Development Sdn Bhd - commenced on November 29, 2005 and is expected
to be completed by February 28, 2007.
The building will be constructed on a
land area of slightly - over four hectares.
Later in the day, Hj Mamit bin Hj
Salleh briefed the guest of honour on the construction and facilities
