PR Jailed For Theft

Bandar Seri Begawan - A Chinese man was sentenced to 13 months and 3 weeks' imprisonment by the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday after he pleaded guilty to committing theft.

Ong Boon Leong, 36, a permanent resident, admitted to stealing a gold pendant, two Rolex watches, a Citizen watch, a mobile phone, a laptop and a gas cylinder from two different houses in the Berakas area on August 26 this year.

According to the Deputy Public Prosecutor, all items were recovered from the defendant except for a Rolex watch. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
