Lanka Beat Brunei 9-2 in hockey

Begawan - Kuantan - Malaysia maintained their unbeaten run in
the 3rd Asian Schools Under-18 Hockey Championship here and booked a
ticket to the final with a match left to go.
They thrashed Thailand 17-0 at the
Kuantan Hockey Stadium yesterday morning.
In another match at the Sukpa
Stadium, Sri Lanka beat Brunei-9-2. Presently, Malaysia are on top of
the table with 12 points, followed by Sri Lanka (nine), Singapore
(six), Thailand (three), Brunei (three) and Indonesia (zero).
Malaysia's coach Mokhtar Baharudin
Abdullah said he was satisfied with the determination shown by the
squad.
"The players have no problems playing
against any team and they only need to be reminded not to be
complacent.
"Nevertheless, I'm proud with the
team that was formed only a month ago. Most of them play at the
national level," he said. Mokhtar said he was confident of defeating
Indonesia in their last qualifying match today. --
