Ministry Holds Israk Mikraj Celebration

Bandar Seri Begawan - An Israk Mikraj celebration was yesterday held at the Di-Gadong Hall of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Present as guest of honour was Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (R) Dato Seri PahlawanAwg Hj Mohammad bin Haji Daud.

The event opened with a 'Tausyih' recital led by personnel of the History Centre, and an al-Quran recital, following by a welcoming speech delivered by Aminah binti Haji Momin, the deputy chairperson of the ceremony.

Later, an invited speaker delivered a talk on the importance of the 'Jamaa' and 'Qasar' prayers. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
