CLM Participants Call On Public Service Official

Bandar Seri Begawan - Director General of Public Service Dato Paduka Hj Saifon Hj Awg Besar yesterday received a courtesy call from middle management officers from Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar (CLM).

The visitors are in the first group of participants in the middle management officers development programme sponsored by the Brunei government in the spirit of regional friendship and cooperation.

They are Deputy Director of the Political Department Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, Mr U Kay Soe Lwin, Assistant Office Manager of the Department of Administrative Control and

Civil Servants Management, Cambodia Mr Him Thonglim and Deputy Director of Southeast Asia and Pacific Division, Laos, Mr Somsack Vilaythone.

Also present were Deputy Director General Awg Hj Muhammad Taib DH Hj Abd Wahab, PSD directors and senior officers.

Yesterday's courtesy call aims to acquaint the visitors with the Director General of Public Service department and its senior officers.

This is the first time officers at the middle management level of CLMV countries have attended the programme.

They will depart on Sept 24 after spending eight weeks on the programme alongside local officers. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
