Fun Day For Mulaut Abattoir Staff And Families

Bandar Seri Begawan - Mulaut Abattoir Sdn Bhd held a family sports day for the second time for some 500 of its officers and staff as well as their families at Taman Mini Perayaan, Kampong Parit.

Present as guest of honour and to present the prizes for the various events held was General Manager of Mulaut Abattoir Sdn Bhd, Haji Hanafi bin Hj Zakaria.

The event began with a walkathon that started at Taman Mini, headed to Jalan Kecil Parit and back to Taman Mini.

The games and competitions included collecting-sweets', `sack race', `throwing shuttle-cocks', `eating hanging bread', 'ping-pong ball in a spoon race', `rolling old coconuts', `blow balloons till they explode', `fishing for bottles' and `tug-of-war'.

The family sports day was held to foster closer relations among the staff and officers along with their families as well as to involve the children in healthy sports activities. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
