Asean Development Cooperation
Programme Ends Today

Begawan - The three-day 7th workshop of the Asean-Australia
development cooperation programme, jointly hosted by the Authority for
Info-Communication Technology Industry (AiTi) and Galexia Consulting,
will end today at the Sheraton Utama Hotel.
According to a press release, some 30
delegates and technical experts, including more than 20
representatives from Asean countries, are attending the workshop.
The objective of the workshop is to
help Asean members and the Galexia e-Commerce project team to finalise
the content of the framework document (FD) and to develop a
recommendation to the Asean working group on e-Commerce and ICT Trade
Facilitation.
It also serves to review and discuss
the development in member countries and on international initiatives
in electronic contracting, jurisdiction and online dispute regulation
legal infrastructure.
Discussions and confirmation of steps
are preferred option for harmonisation in Asean. Brunei Darussalam is
represented by officials from AiTi, Attorney General's Chambers and
