Malaysian Man Embraces Islam

Bandar Seri Begawan - A conversion ceremony for Awg ChuaYu Won, 28, a Malaysian national, took place at the residence of Awg Sha'ari bin Haji Zunaidi at Kampong Mandian Puteri Tanjong Maya, Tutong.

The new convert, now known as Awg Muhammad Noradie Izam bin Abdullah Chua as his Muslim name, recited the two 'kalimah syahadat' in front of an officer from the Pusat Da'wah Islamiah, Tutong.

Present as guest of honour at the ceremony was Awg - Haji Haris bin Othman, Acting Tutong District Officer.

Also present were Head Religious Officer of Tutong District, Awg Haji Zaidin bin Haji Ibrahim, Head of Unit Da'wah of Tutong and Village Head of Tanjong Maya as well as invited guests. The event ended with a recital of doa arwah. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
