Enthusiasts Watch Lunar Eclipse

Bandar Seri Begawan - A partial lunar eclipse was tracked early yesterday morning by many enthusiasts including the press to witness the phenomenon at an observation point in Taman Sir Omar Ali Saiffudien.

Several personnel from the Department of Survey's Astronomy Unit, led by Hj Julaihi Hj Lamat, were also present, as well as members of the Astronomy Association.

More than 20 people from the Surveyor Department and Astronomy Unit set up special equipment like the LX 200 GPS

Meade, Theodulite and EIX 70 Meade, with a live video visual capture of the moon shown on a big screen.

Yesterday's eclipse was visible from many parts of the world, such as Western Australia, Asia, Western Africa and Europe. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
