St James's Students At Science Camp
By Cedrina Norlaila Abd Clark

Kuala Belait - St James's School in Kuala Belait recently organised a Science Camp for 160 secondary students accompanied by their teachers.

The overnight camp was organised with collaboration from the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre in Seria.

The facilitators from OGDC conducted scientific and tech challenge activities including how to make floating oil rigs, curvy fly and water rockets. The participants were divided into three groups and competed among themselves in the tech challenge.

At the end of the competition, prizes were given to the top winners.

According to the school principal, Mohd Ali bin Hj Ahmad, these activities were organised to stimulate interest in learning Science among the young minds. A camp like this would help the students to learn the practical aspect of Science outside the classroom. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
