SPSS Welcomes New General Manager

Bandar Seri Begawan - A ceremony was yesterday held to witness the handing over of duties from outgoing Setia Protective Security Services (SPSS) General Manager Lt Col (Rtd) Haji Ismail bin Haji Sarbini to incoming General Manager Shahrul Zaman bin Haji Zainie.

Present to witness the ceremony - held at the SPSS Complex in Kg Jerudong - was Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office Dato Paduka Eussoff Agaki bin Haji Ismail, who is also the director of Internal Security Department and chairman of SPSS.

In his speech, the deputy minister highlighted the importance of effective communication, coordination and teamwork to ensure the effectiveness of security.

He added that the basics of security effectiveness depend very much on discipline in connection with this, and that the rules and regulations supported by standard practice procedure must be established and complied at all times.

A task force will be formed to review SPSS matters and strategy in order to improve work standards and performance.

The task force would also be responsible for drafting business strategic plans for the company to be more progressive in business and to become a profit-oriented organisation, he added. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
