16 Students To Participate In Malaysian School Carnival

Bandar Seri Begawan - Sixteen students will participate in a programme called "Malaysia Schools Nation Integration Carnival", which will be held in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia from September 11 to 16.

The students will be accompanied by Cikgu HjhAinah binti Hj Ibrahim and Cikgu Fariulazmi bin Hj Sulaiman.

A flag handing over ceremony was held at the hall of SMJA by the chief guest, Dr Haji Mahali bin Momin, Director of Schools, Ministry of Education. Also present were officials from the Ministry of Education and parents of the participating students.

The ceremony began with a recital of al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Haji Azaman bin Haji Jaya. The chief guest reminded the students to be well-behaved in keeping the good name of the country during their stay in Kelantan.

The participating students also presented a dance during the ceremony.

According to Ckigu Hjh Ainah, this is the first group of students that will be participating in the carnival. The ceremony ended with a doa selamat by Ustaz Haji Azaman.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
