School Setting A Fine Example

Bandar Seri Begawan - Sekolah Pg Anak Puteri Mutawakillah Hayatul Bolkiah yesterday received a visit from Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dato Paduka Awang Haji Ishaaq bin Haji Abdullah, who lauded the school for its implementation of the `3K Programme' (Cleanliness, Health and Beauty).

The ministry hopes that religious schools in Brunei Darussalam will be able to set an example for other schools in the country and region.

The 3K Programme involves teachers and students engaging in gardening as well as beautifying the school compound, among others.

The deputy permanent secretary expressed hope that the 3K Programme would be fully implemented among religious schools by mid-2007.

The visit to Sekolah Pg Anak Puteri Mutawakillah Hayatul Bolkiah is part of a series of working visits to religious schools throughout the nation.

The deputy permanent secretary was welcomed on arrival by Principal Hajah Mardiana bte Haji Leman, who later led him on a tour.

Also in attendance were Director of Islamic Study Hajah Kasmah bte Hj Siput and senior officers at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
