Fire Dept Receives Eight New Vehicles

Bandar Seri Begawan - A blessing ceremony was yesterday held at the Fire and Rescue Services Department in conjunction with the hand over of eight new vehicles to the department at its headquarters in Berakas.

Present as the chief guest was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Dato Haji Yussof bin Haji Ismail, who received mock keys from the suppliers of the vehicles - GHK Motors Sdn Bhd, Jati Transport and Eskay Rosen Bauer Sdn Bhd.

The chief guest then handed the mock keys to Fire and Rescue Services Department acting director Pg Hj Mohd Daud Pg Hj Mohammad.

GHK Motors Sdn Bhd provided a brand new Mitsubishi water tanker; estimated at $400,000, while Jati Transport, three fire engines and a fire truck, and Eskay Rosen Bauer, three light-pumper fire engines.

Representatives of the suppliers during the ceremony were GHK Motors Managing Director Pehin Dato Awang Goh King Chin, Jati Transport senior sales executive Amin Hj Mohd Noor and the director of Eskay Rosen Bauer.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
