Mindef Personnel At Nisfu Syaaban

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 250 personnel from the Ministry of Defence, Royal Brunei Armed Forces and guests attended a "Nisfu Syaaban" ceremony at the "Surau Bolkiah Garrison" yesterday.

Also present was Pengiran Dato Paduka Hj Mashor bin Pengiran-Hj Ahmad, Deputy Permanent Secretary 1, Ministry of Defence.

The ceremony started with the reading of the Quran and the praying of Maghrib and Solat together with Wirid and doa. Surah Yassin was read three times followed by the reading of doa-doa Nisfu Syaaban.

"Nisfu Syaaban" is an indicator that Ramadhan is only two weeks away to enable Muslims to prepare for the holy month. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
