Vehicle Recovery Training

Bandar Seri Begawan - Five members of the RBAF will be joining a week-long Vehicle Recovery Training with the British Army in Seria on Sunday, September 10, a press release said.

"The RBAF soldiers will learn all the theories then will be given real incidents to try and test their recovery techniques.

"They will be using the British Army's equipment and ancillaries to learn the different techniques and ways of pulling out vehicles, which get stuck," in different soil, terrain and slopes, said Sgt Hindle, training organiser.

"They must know the range of equipment and techniques inside out to make the best decision on the ground," he said.

Sgt Maidi bin Ali Hassan, Sgt Mohd Jazlan Kashfi bin Haji Hassan, SgtAzman bin Makmum, Sgt Kamaludin bin Balai and Lance COpI Mohd Yazid bin Abd Hamid are spending the week with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, part of the Brunei Garrison troops based near Seria. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
