By Hj Minor Absah & Azaraimy HH

Bandar Seri Begawan - Customs officers yesterday detained two men on suspicion of possessing illegal alcoholic drinks, satellite receivers and undeclared vehicle spare parts in two separate incidents.

A vehicle suspected of delivering alcoholic drinks to a rented house in Kampong Bunut was tailed by the Prevention and Intelligence Division of the Royal Brunei Custom and Excise during an operation at Kuala Lurah at 10am yesterday.

Eleven officers inspected the house at 10.30am and found bottles of Indefnde Dents Boss, 10 bottles of white wine and 88 cans of Tiger beer. Officials detained a 46-year-old Malaysian national.

In a separate incident, officals inspected another residence and found 10 bottles of white wine, 10 packs of "Era" cigarettes without health warning label, three satellite receivers and two sheet parabola disks and spare parts, and some spare parts for vehicles and motorcycle, all believed to have been brought in from neighbouring countries without proper documents from the Custom and Excise.
