RBA Hikes Fuel, Insurance
Surcharges

Begawan - Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA), the national carrier,
yesterday announced arise in fuel and insurance surcharges as a result
of a continuous rise in jet fuel prices.
RBA, in a press release, said as of
September 1, 2006, the airline will impose the following rates to all
tickets issued or reissued on or after September 1, 2006 based on per
way of travel.
The new surcharge, all in Brunei
dollars, applies for tickets issued and commencing in Brunei to travel
to the respective destinations unless otherwise stated as follows:
Kota Kinabalu - $30
Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand,
Philippines, Indonesia and Ho Chi Minh City - $40
Brisbane to Auckland - $40 Hong Kong
and Shanghai - $50
(RBA's destination in Australia) &
Auckland - $55 Dubai, Sharjah and Jeddah - $70 Dubai to London or
Bangkok to Frankfurt - $70 London and Frankfurt - $110 RBA apologised
