Indonesian Woman Jailed For Soliciting

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 36-year-old Indonesian woman was jailed for two months after she pleaded guilty to prostitution before the Bandar Magistrate's Court.

According to DPP Azrimah Rahman, the defendant, identified as Nur Kosidah, was found naked in a hotel room in the capital soliciting a man for the purpose of prostitution. The defendant admitted to this.

The defendant also told the court that she had been soliciting in the country for two weeks and has had ten male clients.

She was arrested at the scene by a team of AntiVice personnel from Gadong Police Headquarters at about 7.15pm on September 4. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
