Partial Lunar Eclipse Tomorrow

Bandar Seri Begawan - The public will be treated to a rare phenomenon on the morning of September 8 when a partial lunar eclipse is to take place. A partial lunar eclipse occurs when a portion of the moon passes through the Earth's umbral shadow.

According to a press release from the Surveyor General Department, Ministry of Development, the public is invited to attend a briefing and to observe the partial lunar eclipse at the Taman Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifudden starting from 11pm tonight (September 7).

Weather permitting, people can seethe phenomena from their homes with the naked eyes. The partial lunar eclipse is expected to begin at 12.42am on September 8. The eclipse is scheduled to reach its peak at 2.5 lam and will be finish by 5am. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
