Reception
By Yusrin Junaidi
Bandar Seri
Begawan - The Singapore Association will be hosting a Hi-Tea
Reception on September 10 at the Millennium Restaurant, Jln Gadong.
The tea reception is to mark the
occasion of the 41st National Day of Singapore and it is open to all
Singaporeans, Singapore permanent residents and friends working and
residing in Brunei Darussalam.
The reception is also meant to
coincide with a "Meet the Singaporean Community" function hosted by
the patrons of the association, Mr Joseph Koh and Mrs Koh.
The objective of the Association is
to promote the networking of Singaporeans living and working in Brunei
Darussalam.
As part of the objectives of the
association, its committee has also incorporated a local help centre
to assist causes that are approved by the association, in the hope of
"conducting ourselves in a socially responsible manner to show our
appreciation to our host country".
The Hi-Tea reception will be held
from 3.30pm until 6pm. Due to limited capacity, interested individuals
are advised to call in advance to confirm their attendance. For
