Association Of Indonesian Society Holds Fund Raising Night

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Association of Indonesian Society held a Donation Night Saturday for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia at a hotel in the capital.

Present as the guest of honour at the event was Ida Susanty Mudjajadi, the Head Chancellor from the Indonesian Embassy.

The night's event included dinner and entertainment to help raise funds for the earthquake and tsunami victims, as well as to strengthen ties within the Indonesian community in the Sultanate.

The highlights of the evening included a stage performance, entitled "Tarian Daerah", and a musical performance by Ridwan and Friends.

A briefing on the earthquake and tsunami tragedy was also delivered by Haji Agus Djamil.

Meanwhile, Event Advisor Ismaya Sukardi said that the event was well received and more than 120 tickets for the event were sold.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
