Inforama 2006 Well Received

Begawan - After an encouraging turnout, the Inforama showcase
came to a close yesterday at The Mall, Gadong.
A few technology companies and
businesses also took part in the event to showcase their latest
merchandises. The exhibition, held in conjunction with the school
holidays, was jointly organised by staff and students from Sayyidina
Hasan Secondary School and the Ministry of Education, and financed by
Brunei Shell Sdn Bhd.
The event was aimed at providing
contestants, who have won Inforama 2006 competition, an opportunity to
showcase their fruits of hard work and dedication during the contest.
This year's theme, "ICT for
Innovation, Skill and Success", emphasised the need to be creative,
innovative as well as having a high understanding of related concepts
in order to succeed academically and in other areas.
According to a Computer Studies
teacher from St Andrews, a finalist in the Inforama 2006, the
end-product of their work are the result of efforts and ideas of the
students.
Teachers are only to guide and advise
the students on the technicalities.
Meanwhile for the finalists of
Inforama 2006, the last stage of the competition will be the Quiz
