PWD Water Tank Insufficient, Lambak Kanan Residents Say

Bandar Seri Begawan - Residents of the Lambak Kanan national housing scheme called on authorities to solve their water woes, which they have been experiencing for years, despite the presence of a Public Works Department water tank at the area near the junction of Spg 48, Jalan 49.

A mother of three said people living in the area continuously experience water problems since they moved into the housing area ten years ago. The mother continued to say it was especially' difficult as she had just delivered a baby.

"I had to install a water tank of my own, but now my electricity bill is more than my water bill as it takes extra electricity to supply water from my own tank to the house," she said.

She added that some 30 to 40 houses along the affected kSinipang coup be hindering the smooth flow of water supply. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
