Vietnam Ambassador Lauds Brunei Ties At Reception

Bandar Seri Begawan - Ambassador of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam, Mr Ha Hong Hai, last night hosted a reception at a leading hotel in the capital to mark Vietnam's 61St Anniversary.

Guest of honour at the function was second Minister of Finance, Pehin Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Rahman and his spouse, Datin Hajah Sapiah binti Haji Sabtu.

Ambassador Ha in his welcoming address highlighted the strong ties between both countries, especially the new direct air link, which was officially inaugurated June this year. The new air link greatly contributed to promoting tourism, trade and service, particularly people-to-people contact, the ambassador said.

Also attending the reception were members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials and distinguished guests. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
