Jogathon Concludes 'Jejak Kampung' Project

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Dato PadukaAwg Hj Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Dato Paduka Seri SetiaAwg Hj Mohd Yusof was the guest of honour at a special jogathon to conclude the Jejak Kampung project held at Mukim Kilanas.

The minister kicked off the event with a donation to the recently established fund for residents of Mukim Kilanas.

The guest of honour then joined more than 200 participants in the morning event. Also present were the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, government officials, RTB personnel and villagers from Mukim Kilanas.

The event was co-organised by RTB, with the help of PgAhmad Pg Hj Mahmud, Wong Siew Choon and Pg Suud Pg Hj Abdullah. Apart from promoting community goodwill, the jogathon aimed to promote and instill good health habits among residents.

The event began with a warm-up session conducted by Prisons Department personnel. There were two routes for men and women.

The women and children's route took a loop around the Bunut Perpindahan Village while the men's route covered two villages - Bunut Pindahan and Madewa.

After the jogathon, Pehin Dato Paduka Awg Hj Adanan toured various booths set up to display local culture and crafts.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
