No sweat for QAF FC
By Alex How

QAF
FC stormed into the third round of the FA Cup 2005 after they defeated
Kilanas FC 6-2 at the Belapan field last night.
Joining QAF FC into the third round
were Brunei Shell FT, IB Bersatu and Kota Ranger when they beat Kg A
FC 9-1, P Akse 5-3 and Indera FC 4-1 respectively.
QAF
FC, highly tipped to go through to the next round, found themselves in
unfamiliar territory when they were trailing 2-1 in the first 30
minutes.
Despite QAF FC's skipper Riwandi
Wahit giving them the lead in the 15th minute, they were quickly down
by a goal.
The skipper kept his head down to
whip in a Mardi Ak Bujang's cross to take the lead.
But the lead was shortlived as
Kilanas FC's Ak Rosmadi Pg Hj Jaludin equalised for his team five
minutes later.
Ak
Rosmadi's teammate Mohamad Alikhan Hj Mohd Yakop stunned QAF FC when
he curled in a lovely free-kick in the 27th minute to take the lead.
Undeterred with the setback, QAF FC
fought back and were rewarded in the 39th minute with the equaliser
from their Japanese talisman Ito Dan.
After the breather, QAF FC were a
transformed side and looked the more dangerous side with better
organisation.
QAF
FC restored their lead to 3-2 through Mardi in the 62nd minute after
the ball ricocheted off the keeper from Ito's powerful shot.
Then substitute Mohd Safari Wahit who
replaced Mardi earlier found space in the box and flipped in a lovely
header in the 73rd minute to make it 4-2.
Not to be eclipsed by his brother's
effort, QAF FC's Hardi made it 5-2 in the 83rd minute.
Riwandi
then finished off the game when he scored an injury time goal to make
it 6-2.
