Brunei Inter-School Swimming Meet

Bandar Seri Begawan - The 5th Brunei Inter-School Swimming Championship will be held at the Aquatic Centre, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex from Sept 24 to 25.

Some 280 swimmers from 20 schools will be taking part in the meet. The swimmers will be competing in five different age groups in 120 different events.

The two-day meet is organised by the Brunei Swimming Club (BSC) and sponsored by 10OPlus and Milo. All winners will also receive a tin of Milo.

The championship will start on Saturday from 2.30pm and at Sam on Sunday.

The meet will also be a selection ground for local young swimmers to compete for a place to represent Brunei in the Asian Schools Swimming Championship which will be held next year.

Meanwhile, a handing-over ceremony of prizes and medals was held yesterday at Orchid Garden Hotel. Receiving on behalf for the meet was the BSC President James Keasberry, while representing F&N Coca-Cola (Brunei) Sdn Bhd (brand owner of 100 Plus) was Operations Manager David Yau.

Also present were Mohd Ismail Osman, Business Manager of Nestle Products Sdn Bhd (brand owner of Milo) and Lim Eng Thai, the Deputy General Manager of Jasra Harrisons Sdn Bhd handed over the sponsorship. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
