Finals Of Dzikir Syarafil Anam, Jawi-Writing Contests

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Dzikir Syarafil Anam competition and Jawi-writing contest for religious and Arabic schools were held yesterday at SR Yayasan Sultan Hj Hassanal Bolkiah.

Organised by the Ministry of Education's Curriculum Department, it aimed to get students more involved in social activities, as well as developing their abilities. Present as guest of honour and to give away the prizes was Ustazah Hjh Zasia Sirin, Director of Islamic Dakwah Centre.

From about 100 teams initially last May, four schools had successfully made it to the finals for Dzikir Syarafil Anam competition and another four for the Jawi-writing contest. SR Pulaie won the Dzikir Sharafil Anam competition and champion of the Jawi-writing contest was Sekolah Persidiaan Arab Temburong. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
