Top Flautist, Guitarist Headed To Brunei Shores

Bandar Seri Begawan - The next Brunei Music Society concert focuses on flutes and guitars and will feature Anna Noakes, one of Britain's top flautists, accompanied by popular guitarist Richard Hand.

The HSBC sponsored concert is scheduled to unfold at the Orchid Garden Hotel (OGH) on Friday, September 30, at 7.30 pin.

International artist Anna N,oakes is in great demand as a solo performer and broadcasts regularly for BBC radio and television.

She also works as a guest principal flute with a number of London's major orchestras including the Royal Opera House and the London Philharmonic.

She has made many recordings including music for films. Most recently for James Bond, Harry Potter, Love Actually, Shrek, Lord of the Rings and Troy.

Tickets for the concert - which include interval refreshments can be purchased at the Mabohai Club and at the door at a cost of $20 per adult and $10 per student.

The programme will include Brazilian, French and Spanish music from the classical repertoire to the History of the Tango.
