AH United Thru’
By Dannie Abu Basrah
Bandar Seri
Begawan - AH United booked themselves a ticket to the 3`d round
of the FA Cup 2005 after defeating Kasuka FC 2-0 at the Belapan field
last night making Kasuka FC the first Premier 1 casualty to exit the
competition.
It did not take long for the game to
see goals as Md Helmi Zambin drew first blood for AH United as early
as the 3rd minute after the pacey forward latched onto a through ball
tricking two defenders before slotting the ball home comfortably with
his left foot.
Then on the 13th minute Hj Rosaidi
produced a superb 25 yards shot that went inches over the top right
comer of goal.
The night saw the midfielder pull
strings of masterful display from the heart of midfield in a match
that saw Md Brian Iman being rested on the bench.
Despite the goal, Kasuka FC
maintained their composure in the first half as they dominated more
possession of the ball as they searched for the equaliser but
constantly failed to produce a good finishing touch when it was really
needed.
Kasuka
FC's failure to finish off a-good move was punished as AH United
managed to double their lead on the 62nd minute.
This time through Ak Asrul Asdynee Pg
Sahdon whose shot struck from the right edge of the box as the ball
bounced off the left post and into the net.
AH United could have won the match
more comfortably but it was the heroics of Kasuka FC goalie, Md Shah
Ronnie Mohd Junani who produced a string of good saves throughout the
second half that helped his side go down to a respectable score.
