Educational Visit To Labuan

Begawan - During the school holiday, a delegation of 225
students with their supervising teachers and officials from both the
Anti-Drugs Educational Unit, Counselling and Career Guidance Section
of the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education and the Sultan
Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation participated in a two-day educational
visit to Labuan on September 12 to 13.
The visit was organised by, the
Anti-Drugs Education Unit in appreciation of the efforts made by
students in highlighting the dangers of drug abuse during the
Anti-Drugs of A-Team Competition for secondary schools.
The schools were Paduka Seri Begawan
Sultan Science College, the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Arabic
Religious Secondary School for Girls, SayyidinaAbu Bakar Secondary
School, Sayyidina Husain Secondary School and the Sufri Bolkiah
Secondary School.
Another five finalists from the
Anti-Drugs Drama competition in the secondary school section from
Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College, Awang Semaun Secondary School, the
Raja Isteri Pengiran AnakDamitArabie Religious Secondary School for
Girls, Sayyidina Husain Secondary School and Berakas Secondary School
also participated in the educational visit.

Pantomime competition of the primary school section from Rimba 1
Primary School, Tutong Kern Primary School, Sultan Abdul Bubin Sungai
Besar Primary School, Mabohai Primary School and Pengiran Dipa Negara
Pg Jaya Sengkarai School were also invited to the trip.
Among the places visited by the
delegates on the first day were the Labuan Museum, Peace Park, Labuan
Bird Park, International Water Sports Complex and Marine Museum.
At night, the delegates held a
cultural exchange and sharing session with their counterparts from
Labuan's Department of Youth and Sport.
On the second day, the delegates
visited the Pekan Satu Primary School where the Brunei delegates gave
some performances, which included pantomime, choir, drama and
presentations while students from Labuan's secondary schools performed
the nasyid, dikir barat, boria as well as poem recitals at the
school's main hall. --
