Undergraduates Have Fun At Tasek Merimbun
By Meiji

Bandar Seri Begawan - Last Sunday, a group of 80 undergraduates and their lecturers from Sultan Omar Ali Islamic Studies Institute, Universiti Brunei Darussalam visited the Tasek Merimbun Heritage Park in the Tutong District.

They also held a picnic there. The group was led by the dean of the institute, Dr Hj Serbini bin Hj Metali.

Upon arrival at the park, they were welcomed by staff of the Brunei Museums Department, who then gave a brief talk on the background of the heritage park, followed by a visit to the exhibits hall.

The visit was part of their annual project during the semester break and also to introduce to their expatriate lecturers, who have come from countries such as Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, the various tourist destinations in Brunei Darussalam. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
