Home Affairs Minister Visits
Serasa

Begawan - The Minister of Home Affairs along with the Deputy
Minister of Home Affairs, Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent
Secretaries of the ministry yesterday toured Mukim Serasa to assess
the condition of public amenities there.
Joining the group were senior
officers from Home Affairs Ministry and the Department of Brunei-Muara
district.
During the visit, Pehin Dato Awang
Haji Adanan, the Minister of Home Affairs and Pehin Dato Awang Haji
Dani, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, first stopped over at the house
of the Penghulu of Mukim Serasa, Awang Haji Ali bin Ahmad.
Also present were Dato Awang Hi Mohd
Yusof and Dato Awang Idris bin Belaman, Permanent Secretaries at the
ministry, Dato Awang Haji Adrian bin Hanafiah, Deputy Permanent
Secretary at the ministry, Brunei-Muara' District Officer and senior
officers from the ministry.
The Ministry of Home Affairs
delegation also held discussions with members of the Mukim Serasa
Consultative Council.
Among places they visited were the
fishermen's wharf at Serasa village and the proposed site for the new
Pekan Muara Wet Market.
The delegation also toured business
premises including the bus station and the Muara town market.
Food stalls and public amenities at
the popular Serasa beach also came under surveillance during the
visit. The visit ended with a tour of the Serasa Ferry Terminal.
