Asean, UK Sharpshooters Target Binturan Meet

Bandar Seri Begawan - Following the conclusion of the 15th Asean Armies Rifle Meet 2005 (AARM 15/2005) more than a week ago, Brunei Darussalam once again becomes the focal point as the Royal Brunei Armed Forces hosts the 8th Brunei International Skill At Arms Meet 2005 (BISAM 8/2005).

The competition will officially commence on 21st September and conclude on 29th September at Binturan Shooting Range. .

A total of eight countries will participate in the meet - Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and United Kingdom - with the host country entering three shooting teams in the competition.

A total of 279 of participants have assembled at the BISAM Village in Penanjong Garrison along with a team of three observers from Vietnam.

Practice sessions are being held at the range and a total of 14 matches will be contested during the meet. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
