Kayak Competition At Sun Ai Damuan

Bandar Seri Begawan - A kayak competition, participated by eight Mukims in the Brunei-Muara District, was held yesterday at Sungai Damuan. The competition was jointly organised by the Department of Youth and Sports, National Sport Federations, the Brunei-Muara District Office and Mukims under the Brunei-Muara District.

Present as the guest of honour was Haji Jamain bin Momin, Brunei-Muara's Assistant District Officer.

In his speech, he encouraged more youths to be involved in sports activities, such as kayak, which can keep the younger generation away from all forms of social ills.

Altogether, there were 11 events lined up at the competition which was participated by more than 20 kayak enthusiasts. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
