By James Kon

Bandar Seri Begawan - To celebrate the delivery of Brunei's 5,000' LNG Cargo to Japan, four local students - Awang Hardy bin Ukit (UBD), Dayang Nurolhuda binti Haj i Seruj i (UBD), Miss Yong Lan Sue (UBD) and Dayang Nurul Jannah binti Haji Mohd Yussof (going to University of Wales Institute Cardiff, UK) - will be experiencing the time of their life in Japan under the Japan Field Trip programme.

Accompanying the students to Japan are Awang Haji Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Kipli (BLNG External Affairs Advisor) and Dayang Hajah Rohayati binti Haji Awang Damit (Mitsubishi Corporation, Brunei Liaison Office, Junior Officer).

Launched by the Brunei-Japan Friendship Association, the main objective of the Japan Field Trip programme is to offer two or three students under the association's BJFA-UBD Chapter a chance to see first-hand how Brunei's energy resources are utilised in Japan. The field trip is also organised in collaboration with The Daily Yomiuri newspaper.

The programme also serves as a unique opportunity for BJFA-UBD students to learn about the importance and contribution of Brunei's energy resources to Japan.

During the trip, the students will also be visiting the Japan-Brunei Friendship Association and Tokyo Disney Resort as well as making a courtesy call on the Brunei Embassy, Cultural Exchange Programme with Japanese High-School Students and Sodegaura LNG Receiving Terminal (Tokyo Gas). -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
