Beribi Mosque Takmir Committee Visits Sabah

Bandar Seri Begawan - Twenty-five members of the Beribi Mosque Takmir Committee and local residents made a goodwill visit to Sabah recently. The delegation was led by Haji Mirasin Momin.

The delegation visited the Sabah Islamic body (MUIS) where they were greeted by its deputy chairman, Abd Rashid Yusof and other officials of the establishment. They were later given a briefing on the history, function and role of MUIS by the deputy chairman. Also present at the briefing was the chairman of the Beribi Mosque Takmir committee, Haji Abd Wahab Haji Daud.

Besides exchanging and sharing common ideas on related matters with their counterparts in Sabah, the delegation also hoped that such visits would further strengthen the goodwill relationship between both parties.

During the trip, the visitors also took the opportunity to visit Sabah Grand Mosque, the state's National Museum, the Islamic Museum and the Sabah Foundation Building. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
