Students Learn To Make Traditional Biscuits

Tutong - Persatuan Angkatan Melayu Danau Tutong (PAMDA) organised a one-day workshop on making Brunei Malay traditional kuihs at Danau Primary School in Tutong.

According to the secretary of the workshop, Awg Hj Othman bin Pauzi, the objectives of the workshop were to show the correct way of preparing Brunei Malay traditional kuihs and to promote this authentic delicacy among the younger generation.

Attending the ceremony as the chief guest was the wife of Tutong District Officer, Dyg-Hajjah Rokiah Mohammad.

Also present at the function were Acting Penghulu Mukim Telisai, who is also Kg Bukit Beruang Headman, Awg Alitnad bin Aman; Kg Telisai Headman who is also acting Headman of Kg Danau, Awg Hj Mohd Zun bin Haji Tajin; and Mukim Telisai residents as well as some Telisai Scouts. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
