Art Gallery Manager Heads To Japan
For Art Exhibition

Begawan - Pengiran Haji Ismail bin Pengiran Ibrahim,-educational
officer and manager of Art Gallery, on behalf of the director of
Museum Department, is attending the opening ceremony of the third
Fukuoka Asian Art Triennial in Japan, which kicked off yesterday.
Accompanying the educational officer
are, local artists Siti Zaleha, Haji Padil, Pengiran Roslan and
Pengiran Timbang, who will be vying for an opportunity to be a
resident artist based in Japan.
The event sees hundreds of artists
from 21 Asian countries exhibiting their latest creations until
November 27 this year, including two art pieces from Brunei's Ali Haji
Rahim, "Silent Killer" and "Blurred Glass Image".
The art exhibition will be held at
Blackburn, United Kingdom where the artworks will be displayed from
January 21 until April 9 next year.
The main objective of the art
exhibition is to build cooperative relations between representatives
from the Asian countries. --
