Mukim Kilanas, RTB To Retrace A
Village
By Jon Tampoi
Bandar Seri
Begawan - The Village Council of Mukim Kilanas and Radio
Television Brunei (RTB) will be working on a programme entitled "JejakKampung"
(Retrace Of A Village).
The project was initially a radio
programme but has since been upgraded to become a department programme.
Its first production venue was Lumut in the Belait District earlier
this year.
The "Jejak Kampung" project is
collaboration between the enthusiastic people of the Mukim and RTB.
Radio Brunei will be setting up a mock studio during the production of
the programme.
There would also be live 'Kuliah
Subuh' (dawn sermons), which will be broadcast live from the three
mosques within Mukim Kilanas. The mukim, comprises six villages namely
Bunut perpindahan, Bunut Tasek
Meradun,
Bengkurong, Kilanas, Madewa and Tanjung Nagka, which are all located
along the old Tutong Road.
Among other things, RTB will also be
producing programmes for Hari Raya as well as documentaries concerning
the six villages of the mukim.
The venue would be the school
compound of Bendahara Sakam Bunut Primary School.
The pre-launching event is expected
to be held on September 18, while-another event will be held on
September 23.
The whole project will draw to a
close on September 25 to make way for a Ramadhan project. A variety of
activities have been lined-up for the event including the launching of
a special fund for the mukim's residents, a cooking challenge ('Cabaraan
Kuali') as well as a walkathon.
The public is most welcome to attend,
as it would give them a better understanding of the community and the
workings of Radio Brunei. --
