RBA Welcomes 10 New Cadet Pilots

Begawan - Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) recently held a signing
ceremony for 10 local cadet pilots for RBA's cadet pilot scheme.
Present at the event to sign the
agreements on behalf of RBA were Flight Operations Director Captain
John Caborn and Administration and Personnel Services Director Hj Abu
Hanafiah Hj Abu Bakar.
The 10 members include Mohd Azmi bin
Ibrahim, Lim Eng Hock, Ali Amani bin Hj' Nokman, Awg Mohd ZulAfiq bin
Awg Mohd Yusof, Abd Hafiizh bin Hj Ali Hassan, Mohd Syazwi Hazwani bin
Hi Mat Sarudin, Awangku Abdul Hariz bin Pg Dr Hj Abu Bakar, Azman bin
Mohd Hanif, Mohd Fakhrur Razie bin Shukri, Mohd Nur Shukrimin bin Abd
Amin.
The ten were selected out of 140
applicants. The four-day pre-selection programme was facilitated by a
representative from Cabair College of Air Training in the UK.
RBA
has trained 69 pilots since the start of the cadet programme in 1979.
Over 21 of the earliest graduates from the programme have made the
rank of Captain.
Following the completion of their
training in 2006, the cadets will hold a Commercial Pilot License with
Instrument rating.
The scheme is designed to equip
successful graduates with skills, qualifications and experience
required to become an RBA pilot. Once successful they will come in as
First Officer. --
