Double Celebration At Taipei Economic And Cultural Office

Bandar Seri Begawan - A gathering to celebrate the Mooncake festival and the victory of Taiwan players in the 2nd Brunei 9-Ball Invitational Cup was hosted recently at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Brunei Darussalam.

Taipei Representative Dr. James C.H. Chen hosted the double celebration for Taiwan players - 'Cold-Faced. Killer' Chao Fong Pang, who emerged as champion in the tournament, `Little Genius' Wu Chia Chia Ching, first runner-up and second runner-up Kuo PoCheng.

Also present was Spenser Y Shiau, Secretary General of the Asian Pocket Billiard Union and the Chinese Taipei Billiards Association.

"We just came from Germany and we are going to Kuala Lumpur for a one-week tournament," said Spenser. ,

Chao was crowned champion in a US$50,000 billiards tournament in the United States, Dr. Chen said. He pocketed US$10,000 for topping the Brunei 9-ball tournament. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
