Eleven Police Personnel Receive Medals

Bandar Seri Begawan - Eleven police personnel yesterday received their long awaited one-year service medals during a mornin parade held at the Marine Police Unit in Muara.

Presenting the medals to the recipients at the ceremony was SuperintendentAwg Azahari bin Hj Awg Besar.

Each year, an evaluation is carried out on a number of police personnel in order to qualify them for the one-year service medal which is presented yearly by a Commanding Officer during a parade as the one held yesterday.

All the qualified police personnel except one were present yesterday to receive their award.

The awarding ceremony began with a salute to the Commanding Officer by 50 police personnel.

This was followed with an inspection conducted by Superintendent Awg Azahari bin Awg Hj Besar, who later presented medals to all the recipients.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
