RTB To Host Annual Projects With Mediacorp TV 12 Singapore

Bandar Seri Begawan - Radio Television Brunei, under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding in broadcasting between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore, will be hosting three annual projects, namely Titian Minda, Bridging Minds, and Forum Universiti.

The projects will be held simultaneously in Bandar Seri Begawan for the first time. Previously it was hosted separately by RTB and MediaCorp TV 12 Singapore.

About 30 participants from Singapore have been in the country since Monday, and have met with another 30 local participants in preparation for their respective competitions.

Titian Minda is entering its tenth year since it was introduced in 1995. Students will be debating on the motion `Traditions Prevent Modem Life'. Its sister project, Bridging Minds, was introduced in 1996 and students will be debating this year's motion of `This House Would Sit for Exams'.

Meanwhile Forum Universiti which was introduced five years ago will discuss education with the motion `University Education: Its Effectiveness in Achieving Dreams'.

Bridging Minds will be held in the morning at the Dewan Raya, RTB on Saturday September 17, while Forum Universiti will be held later in the afternoon at Studio One, RTB. Titian Minda will be held the next day on September 18 at 3pm. All programmes are to be recorded and will be telecast at a later date. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
