Officers Off For Asean Infocraft

Bandar Seri Begawan - Officers of the Prisons Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, left for Malaysia yesterday morning to take part in the Asean Prisons Infocraft 2005 at the Malacca International Trade Centre from Sept 17 to 22.

They are Awang Kadi bin Mat Lazim, Awang Mohammad Ali bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Abd Hamid and Awang Apandi bin Sidek.

To bid farewell to the delegation to Malaysia were Haji Ahmad bin Haji Dullah, Director of Prisons and senior officers at the Department of Prisons.

It aims to bring together prison officers and provid them an opportunity to share experiences, exchange views and keep abreast of practices relating to the vocational training of inmates. The exhibition will also impart a better understanding on practices and training of inmates.

Exhibition participants will tour the prison institutes within the Malaysian state of Malacca.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
